How long have you been a member at Reebok CrossFit 09?
Since November 2013.
How did you end up walking through our doors for the first time? Was there a pivotal event that led you to us?
The amazing coaches.
Can you remember your first CrossFit workout? What was it like?
Fight Gone Bad, it was so bad that I almost vomited up my scrambled eggs that morning.
Favourite training shoes?
Inov8s for oly lifting/strength, Nikes/Inov8s for metcons and now my new Reebok Nanos for rope climbs
What has been one of the biggest things in your life that has changed since starting CrossFit?
Making so many amazing new friends!!! I love how CrossFit is the one sport that is so friendly and encouraging, how the community of CrossFit gets behind each other
Do you have any pre-WOD rituals? If so, what are they?
Well I'm pretty sucky at even warming up before a WOD, I'm more of a girl that just wants to get straight into it:) So no rituals.
Describe your perfect workout...
Short, Hard, Fast something like 21-15-9 boxjumps, heavy deadlifts, pistols, maybe even throw in a few short sprints
What is your athletic background?
Athletics 100/200/400m sprints
Favourite tunes to throw down to?
Bit of snoop dog, T.I, Pitbull, Nelly
Is there a Reebok CrossFit 09 member who inspires you?
Krista such an amazing coach and friend, have learnt sooooooo much off her!!!! If it wasn't for her I would of probably re-torn my elbow again.
Greatest CrossFit accomplishment to date?
33rd place Australasia 2013 Regionals
What would you like to have achieved at Reebok CrossFit 09 a year from now?
To be able to represent 09 at this years 2014 Australasia Regionals and to handstand walk!!!
What are you doing when you aren't CrossFitting?
Hanging out with my spunky husband.
Interesting fact about yourself that most people may not know?
I grew up on a farm up north in Ruakaka.....
What one item could we always find in your fridge?
Coconut water (would say chocolate but keep this in the pantry cause i hate hard chocolate) 😉
