Spring Challenge time!

It's nearly time for our world famous (L&P styles) Spring Team Challenge.

This will be the 5th year, and as always, we like to think that this one will be better than ever.  Loads of fun activities, team and individual challenges plus sweet prizes of course.

A couple of new changes for you to wrap your head around.

  • this year the teams will be comprised based on class times.  So we'll have Dawn Demons, Rock Stars, Arvo Assassins and Night Owls.  This means you get to see your team mates on a regular basis, and thus improve the level of support you can provide for each other.  Getting together for challenges, brain storms, casual coffees and social stuff will be easier too.

  • the emphasis will also be less on nutrition this year (as it has been every successive year), and more about fun, teamwork and getting outside the gym and regular workouts.  We know that some of you are old hands at healthy eating, but you don't want to miss out on the action of the team challenge.  Now you don't have to, we'd love to have as many of our veteran members playing as possible, you'll also be great mentors for our newer peeps.

  • for those who want to still want to learn about eating real food for optimal performance and health, there will still be plenty of resources available.  I've spoken about nutrition at plenty of other affiliates this year, so it will be awesome to finally speak again on home soil.  There will be an introductory talk, and a more advanced one later on in the challenge.

  • and for the first time ever, we're opening up an at home challenge for those who can't make it to CFNZ or RCF09, with nutrition resources, a step by step approach to take your diet to the next level, plus exercise recommendations and workout plans.  For our members who have friends and family outside of Auckland, or in Auckland but a little nervous about getting into CrossFit, this challenge could be the perfect jump start for them.

Kick off is October 5th and runs 8 weeks to November 29th.
