Today we're talking to Emily, who just got her first strict pullup last week!  She is aiming towards a 100kg deadlift now.  She's super dedicated, and we love how she's always game to try something new, and to always try a little bit harder than yesterday..

What is your favourite 'treat', food or otherwise?
Baking - absolutely anything baked, I can’t resist it!

How long have you been a member at Reebok CrossFit 09?
6months!

How did you end up walking through our doors for the first time?
Running to and from work each day I saw the sign, and at the time I was flatting with Rob and Fern so joining wasn’t too scary!

Can you remember your first experience with us? What was it like and how did you feel? Excited? Nervous?
So nervous, but excited. New to Auckland I just want to meet new people, and being halfway through marathon training I was missing lifting!

Is there a piece of training equipment you can't live without?
Barbell - them deadlifts. I just love them.

What are you doing when you aren't training with us?
Shopping, or thinking about shopping.

What has been one of the biggest things in your life that has changed since starting CrossFit?
My confidence. In and outside of the gym.

Are you a barbell or kettle bell lover?
:) Barbell

And what is you all time FAVOURITE movement?
That deadlift! But getting my first pull up was pretty freaking cool too!

If you were told you had to do only one movement for 7mins straight.. for max reps.. what would you NOT like to see?
Its a tie - Rowing or Wall Balls.

Is there a Reebok CrossFit 09 member who inspires you?
Krista! How you function with so much positive energy pre coffee is beyond me, but its so amazing and so motivating!

Greatest exercise related accomplishment to date?
March 2015 I ran my first race - an off road marathon. Easily the most amazing and most difficult thing I’ve ever done.

Interesting fact about yourself that most people may not know?
I Love Deadlifts! :)
