What is your favourite 'treat'?
Oh my this is hard… I have the sweetest tooth ever so almost anything sweet will do but if I had to choose just one, I would pick Swiss chocolate!

How long have you been a member at Reebok CrossFit 09?
It’s going to be 5 months next week:)

How did you end up walking through our doors for the first time? Was there a pivotal event that lead you to us?
I was hitting a plateau at the gym and starting to lose my motivation so during the Christmas holidays I started looking into CrossFit. I’m lucky that my flatmate knows Amber from IA who recommended I try Reebok CrossFit 09!

Can you remember your first experience with us? What was it like and how did you feel? Excited? Nervous?
I think I went through every emotion state. First I was thrilled when Krista replied to my email on the same day and we managed to book my first session for the following day. And then as I was walking into the box I was so nervous, telling myself “what did you put yourself into again?”. I honestly didn’t know what to expect. But my best memory and what got me totally hooked was my first class. The last exercise during the metcon was a 200m run and on the way back from the gate someone I didn’t even know yelled my name and cheered me up :) I went home that day with the biggest smile on my face!

Is there a piece of training equipment you can't live without?
Not that I can think of. At the moment, I’m practising my handstand so there’s no need for any equipment!

What are you doing when you aren't training with us?
I’m a web developer :)

What has been one of the biggest things in your life that has changed since starting CrossFit?
My strength! Every time I take my nephew (who's 16 months old) in my arms, he seems lighter :)

Are you a barbell or kettle bell lover?
Barbell!

And what is your all time FAVOURITE movement?
Deadlift :)

If you were told you had to do only one movement for 7mins straight.. for max reps.. what would you NOT like to see?
Burpees...

Is there a Reebok CrossFit 09 member who inspires you?
Everyone inspires me! Especially seeing girls lift heavy weights :)

Interesting fact about yourself that most people may not know?
I was born in NZ but I grew up in Switzerland. I moved back to NZ 1.5 years ago.
